Here I am outside of the somewhat hidden photography exhibit at Frida Kahlo's La Casa Azul. It was really lovely and almost haunting visiting her former home in the charming Colonial del Carmen Coyoacan. I was particularly inspired by her personal collections of photographs, so much so that I later bought a hard cover book filled with all of them, which I'll soon have to scan and share with you all.
I'm busy working on my Autumn Winter 2011 pieces and I can't help but say that the rich colors and silhouettes I found in that exhibit helped shape this upcoming collection!
