A few scans from Frida Kahlo's lovely book featuring a collection of her personal photographs.
As I said, back when I was sharing a series of photos from my own trip down to Mexico, visiting La Casa Azul was such a treat! If any of you find yourself down in the charming area of Coyoacan, be sure to, after sampling a fist full of local fried grasshoppers (have to admit I wasn't brave enough to try a single one!), stop by Frida and Diego's home. There's a photography exhibit in a smaller building, slightly veiled by shrubs and dangling greenery behind the main house and through a yard filled with playful cats. If you're not Mexico bound for quite some time, but fancy a thick book of sepia-tone photos, prominent eyebrows, and kissable lipstick stained pages, I highly recommend this book!
What book of photographs are you captivated by most?

Wow! stunning photos, I love the expression on the woman's face in the photo third from the end. There's just something about old photographs!

Thank you for sharing these scans. I am now adding the book to my Amazon wishlist. :)
beautiful images. I love photography books, and suppose I am most captivated by Bellocq's "Photographs from Storyville" of turn of the century prostitutes from New Orleans' Red Light District. I am kind of obsessed with prostitutes.
