Please welcome the Set of Two Cherry Blossom Hairclips to the shop this week. These beauties are handmade with sweet peachy-hued vintage millinery flowers and can adorn your locks this spring for just 14 bucks while supplies last!
In other news, The Tightrope Blouse is looking lovely as ever and you can now choose to have yours made in your favorite color! This piece is so sultry and romantic and handmade with 100% silk. It's essential to have a versatile piece that appears to be totally different whether wrapped and belted or tied and worn with(or without!) your favorite cami, and it's all the more wonderful that it can be dressed up or down.
Visit the shop for more information on these pieces or feel free to send mail to firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions or requests!
**For those of you who asked, my photos are taken by myself or my manfriend with a Nikkormat film camera.
I'd like to spread some cheer and offer you a chance at winning some of my pieces this springtime, so I will be hosting a series of giveaways through my blog every couple of weeks. There are a few simple and harmless things one must do to participate in this first giveaway of the season, but they will get more challenging in the future (think back to the derriere contest)!!
In order to enter a chance at winning the dazzling Cinema Headband please follow the 4 steps below:
This piece, originally designed for one of the prettiest brides I've seen, is handmade with a nod to a bygone era and is now available as a made-to-order item from my shop. Vintage pearls and rhinestones add a little sparkle to the feather and removable birdcage veil.
This piece can be altered to suit any occasion and personal taste. Other color options are available. Prices may vary depending on the amount of work involved to particular requested changes.
Please send mail to email@example.com with your special requests!
The Marigold Bloom Hairclip is now available and perfect for spring! Pair this beauty with the "If I Only Had a Heart Dress" in seafoam, pale yellow or black cotton. My best-selling heart dress is available as a pre-sale item for a limited time, so be sure to get yours now at half price before they hit stores!
Due to a mean cold, I found myself mostly in a horizontal state the past few days. Lying around lethargically did have its benefits as it allowed me to finish up my latest Murakami novel and indulge in an infinite Netflix stream of 30 Rock.
If any of you are a fan of Japanese writer, Haruki Murakami, and his love story, Norwegian Wood, you might like this. Does anyone know if the film is coming to New York? I've searched, though only hastily, and have found zip!
Though such a rare occasion, I do love weekends spent eating mounds of ice cream and stemming floral headbands. A couple weeks back, a quick (quick for reasons not to be mentioned for fear of embarrassing my man-friend and his weak stomach for all slimy things contained in jars and human skin bound books: understandable!) visit to the Mütter Museum was preceded by a stroll through Old City.
After a jaunt to Art In The Age of Mechanical Production, I believe I was subconsciously led to The Franklin Fountain where I promptly found a spot at the counter (after a 20 minute wait) and probably, for the first time in my life, ordered the smallest sundae an ice cream parlor had to offer for fear and intimidation that Franklin and I were not on the same page when it came the definition of a double scoop. I, myself, did not want to explode and end up a spectacle at the human oddities museum.
Nothing could have ended this day on a more unusual note than to read Stiff nearly through to its entirety in one sitting. Have any of you ever read any of Mary Roach's books? And what's your favorite ice cream parlor?
P.S. I'll be sharing those floral headbands with you all shortly!
Be very quick and grab one of the few velvet heart dresses left of the season featuring quite a nice sale price - $120! (I don't think I've ever sold this piece at such a low price, however there are lots of new spring merchandise that need to fit into my closet, so enjoy!)
